Spoken.....Unspoken Prayers
I have begun to see a very distinct pattern take place in my life and when I think about it over and over again I get very very excited, because it shows me God's providential care. His Word declares that "He knows what we need before we ask"
There have been several occasions during my walk with the Lord where we (my wife and I) had a "specific" need and often before we had a chance to really pray about it. The Lord supernaturally moved on our behalf. There was the time when my 2nd oldest needed some baby wipes and me and my wife were just discussing it and we received a knock on the door from a church members that just happened to be "in the neighborhood" and gave us 5 packages of baby wipes. Then another time when my 2nd oldest needed some clothes (pants specifically) my wife and were just discussing it and we went to church the following Sunday and someone gave us a bag of pants and shirts, etc. That's how God has always worked on our behalf. So what does all this realy mean?
Many times I believe that when we pray, we don't always "believe" that God has heard us. Yes, here's another testimony that I can share concerning this subject! I remember going to the store to get my son some medicine and I was down to my last bit of "gas money" and basically I was so frustrated that I giving God a hard time, complaining about this, that and the other. I told God that I couldn't understand why I wasn't able to bless my wife with the things that she needed and so forth and so on. The Lord calmly (as always) spoke to my spirit and simply said "I heard you".....The next day I was reading the Scriptures and he lead me to Psalm 5:3 which declares "O LORD, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch."
If we "take the time" to get before the Lord in the morning before we start our day, whether we are preparing for work or staying at home. We will see a significant difference in our day. Every time that I was able to spend initimate time with the Father before starting my day, I simply felt more peace than I did if I hadn't. Getting back to the testimony......About 2-3 weeks later we received a phone call from a sister in the Lord and she said that she and her daughter had been praying and felt led to take my wife shopping. They brought her 3 brand new dresses!
I'm reminded of Daniel and how he didn't believe that the Lord heard his prayers only to be visited by an Angel of the Lord who stated that his prayer was heard the "first time" that he prayed, but that they were dealing with Satan and his minions to bring the prayers to pass. Many times that too is the reason why our prayers don't seem to be answered, but we then must be patient and allow God to do it in His perfect timing. What we say out of our mouths has a lot to do with what is manifested in our lives. (but, that's another blogger).....
God is so awesome in the fact that He can hear our prayers even when we don't necessarily say them out loud and that's because He knows our heart and He hears even our silent prayers. So if He answers prayers spoken and unspoken, what's the problem?
Matthew 21:22 - "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
